Penpal, Win, Heading Toward a Diagnosis

Earlier this year when I signed up for the NationalSweepstakes Convention Cruise, I was corresponding with another lady who will be on the cruise.  I met her through the convention website.  I last wrote to her the day before I left for my trip to London at the beginning of May.  Then I did not hear from her again.

So today, after three months, I was so pleasantly surprised to get a nice e-mail from her.  She wanted to join me on one of my shore excursions and to meet up at the convention.  She also told me she bought a copy of my book.  Although she has not read it yet, I certainly appreciate the support!

The other nice thing that happened this morning was I won a Steam Key for my husband from an online contest.

But the greatest thing that happened today was finally making progress toward getting help for my apparent neuromuscular disease.  I got two referrals from my current neurologist’s office, one to a local doctor and one to Scripps.  Also, I got a referral from another doctor for a test that will determine whether my memory and concentration problems are caused by anxiety or neurological problems. These referrals ease my mind greatly since it’s a step toward a diagnosis.
